Submit a concern

Use HoundLine’s legal-request form. You do not need an account. Identify the material precisely, provide the relevant URL or dog/source reference, explain the concern, and include information that allows HoundLine to respond. Do not include passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

Copyright notices

A copyright notice should identify the copyrighted work, identify the material claimed to infringe and where it appears, provide your contact information, state your good-faith belief that the use is not authorized, state under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and include your physical or electronic signature.

HoundLine may request missing information, restrict material while evaluating a credible notice, remove or restore material as appropriate, notify the contributor, and preserve records of the dispute.

Counter-notices

If your material was restricted because of a copyright notice, you may submit a counter-notice identifying the removed material and its former location, stating under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, and providing your name, address, phone number, signature, and legally required consent to jurisdiction and service. HoundLine will explain any additional statutory steps before forwarding a complete counter-notice.

Other complaints

The same form accepts trademark, privacy, personal-information, false attribution, and source-accuracy concerns. Facts can be disputed even when copyright is not the right framework. HoundLine aims to preserve provenance, label uncertainty, and avoid implying registry affiliation.

Repeat infringement and DMCA status

HoundLine may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. HoundLine has not represented that this web form alone is a registered DMCA designated agent. Before public beta, HoundLine will evaluate and, if appropriate, register and publicly list a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. Until then, the form remains HoundLine’s operational notice channel.
