Correct a dog in your pedigree
Fix a mistaken name, parent, or other detail without changing another user’s information.
Your copy stays editable
A dog inside your pedigree is your private record. You can correct it even when its information originally came from a scan or Lineage Lead.
Check the surrounding family
When one scanned name lands in the wrong position, review that dog’s parents and nearby generation before accepting more suggestions. A misplaced dog can make otherwise unrelated research look relevant.
Research remains separate
Editing your private dog does not directly edit a HoundLine research profile. HoundLine only links identities when the available evidence and your deliberate choices support that link.
