Fix a scan or import mistake

If the scan is unreadable

Keep the whole document in the picture, use even light, and make the printed names as sharp as possible. Fold lines are common and do not require flattening the document perfectly when the text remains visible.

1. Retry once with a clearer full-page image.
2. Check the registry choice before submitting.
3. If it fails again, keep the scan and report its HoundLine error code so the output can be investigated.

If names are in the wrong places

Compare the proposed pedigree positions with the printed tree before importing. Pay special attention to wrapped names, title abbreviations, and the boundary between generations.

If it was already imported

Open each affected dog in the private pedigree and correct or remove the mistaken details. Review pending Lineage Leads afterward, because correcting the tree may change which suggestions are relevant.
